The topics we cover in the course and the contest are based on programming competitions. Here are some excellent resources which will help you:

USACO: http://usaco.org/ The USA Computing Olympia website provides training resources to help high schoolers. USACO selects the best high schoolers from across the US to represent the national US team in the IOI (International Olympiad in Informatics, http://ioinformatics.org/). Topcoder: http://topcoder.com/tc Topcoder is an online competition and provides excellent support for high school students. The_topcoder_algorithm_tutorials are an excellent introduction to various programming topics.
